San Francisco Approves Dividend Finance’s PACE Program

Dividend Finance is pleased to announce that its PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) Program was adopted by the San Francisco City Council in an effort to support the city’s continual sustainability goals and initiatives. Dividend’s PACE Financing is now available to commercial property owners and homeowners in San Francisco, where Dividend is headquartered

.

“Dividend is thrilled to announce the launch of its PACE program in its own backyard,” said Eric White, Dividend’s CEO. “We look forward to partnering with the City of San Francisco to deliver best-in-class financing solutions to local property owners and helping support a more sustainable and resilient community.”

PACE is a public-private mechanism for financing energy efficiency, renewable energy program, water conservation, and seismic upgrades on privately-owned property. Dividend’s PACE presents a unique option for property owners who are looking to access long-term financing that they can pay back through their property taxes.

As San Francisco Supervisor Mark Farrell said,“It’s up to us more than ever here locally to push policies that can help our environment.”
With San Francisco being home to numerous businesses and commercial properties, and having more than 350,000 residential homes, the approval of Dividend’s PACE Financing program will present the city with a significant opportunity for economic and environmental growth. Along with these positive impacts, this approval will help create and support local construction jobs and stimulate the local San Francisco economy.

Dividend Finance is the PACE Program Administrator for the California Enterprise Development Authority, which issues PACE bonds in California to bring capital to clean energy, water conservation and seismic retrofit projects. Dividend currently operates in 26 states and the District of Columbia through its network of quality-driven installation partners. The company’s solar loan platform enables homeowners across the U.S. to access financing and maximize the economic benefits of going solar with a seamless and hassle-free customer experience.
