The Search for a Service Centric Financing Partner

One of the best parts about being part of the Dividend Finance team is hearing the success stories shared around the office. Recently, one of our Account Directors, Jodi Stiede, was talking about a solar partner of hers with an amazing story.

The Backstory

In 2016, changes to the Nevada net-metering policies caused many Nevada based solar companies, like Las Vegas based Get Solar Nevada, to make an abrupt change to the business. Solar veteran and founder, Albert Ramos pivoted his company to a general contracting company in order to keep the business afloat.

The policy would change a little over a year later, making solar yet again a viable option for Nevada homeowners, and Albert’s team was ready to hit the ground running. Unfortunately, during that one-year solar hiatus, many specialty solar financiers (like Dividend) had left the state and getting back into Nevada would be a long process. In the 8-months prior to Dividend’s re-entrance to Nevada, Albert had a very difficult time finding a service-centric financing partner to work with while he grew Get Solar Nevada once again.
